William Guest emigrated from England in 1903 to Winnipeg, Man…. Then he came west to Lacombe where he got a job working on the railroad at Clive.

Ellen Beatrice Rea emigrated to Winnipeg from England in 1905.  William Guest returned to Winnipeg to marry her after he had filed on a homestead in the Calkins Valley district.  They returned to the homestead after they were married until 1910 when they moved to Clive with their son Wm. Jr. …and Dorothy….

Mr. Guest worked for Mr. John Longstreet and later rented land from Mr. Longstreet and Bill Johnson.  There were three children born at Clive, Edith … George…. [and] Albert….

The Guests left Clive in April 1923, by team and wagon driving their livestock to return to their homestead.
