John Woolcombe – By H. Parlby
John Woolcombe came from England in 1895 to Walter Parlby’s ranch. He settled on the W1/2 of Sec 33-Twp 40-R-22mW4th, joined the Gun Club and played Polo. He enlisted for the South African war in 1899, and was killed in action.
